"Passion" by Lisa Valdez

Phenomenal. If I had to pick one word for the romance story between the hero "Mark" and the heroine "Passion" in Lisa Valdez's "Passion" the word would be PHENOMENAL. And I am not talking about his 'hung like horse' penis either! The penis certainly grabbed my attention, but the characters were so wonderful that even if Mark's penis were minuscule (does that ever happen in a romance?) I would have loved this romance. The romance between these two characters is perfection. They were a perfect match for each other. I loved it!

Passion is a widow nearly at the end of her two year mourning period, but she never mourned her husband because it wasn't a love match and he didn't even attempt to have any sort of loving relationship with her. She was left completely unfulfilled, unloved and childless.

Mark is a well hung man who has never gotten all of his big throbbing ten inch sizzlestick inside a woman's love tunnel, but he's always on the look out for the one who can take it all and give them the mind blowing earth shattering sex he knows his ten inches could produce with the right lady.

Mark and Passion are strangers who cross each other's path in life and feel a spark between them. They don't even know each other's names when the spark engulfs them into flames the very first time they have sex - in a very public place unknown to the patrons around them. I loved this! So different from most historical romances.

Neither of these people were looking for love, just fulfillment. They both had a void in their lives and when they came together the void was filled and they were completed and whole. They didn't plan or look for any romantic feelings but it grew beautifully. The characters were easy to fall in love with and they had me in near tears when things looked like it wouldn't work out for them- it was just SO bittersweet! I truly adored these characters and loved this book.

The sex was erotic and his penis amazing (think battering ram pillaging a castle entrance- but she likes it!), but the characters themselves were what made me fall in love with this book. They were perfectly charming in their own ways and together they pulled me in to their lives and emotions. I actually cried for Mark near the end when he says something he never says because of the childhood he had. Gripping and romantic with a great plot and subplot (there is a second book with Mark's brother Matthew's story- can't wait to get that one!). Complete with two evil bitches you want to slap. This is a MUST read historical erotic romance.

An easy 5 stars out of 5! READ IT! :o)
